The Genius of Russell T Davies
As RTD’s reign on Doctor Who comes to an end. I was contemplating (as I often do) his work on Doctor Who this last 5 years.
There is much of what has done that I have not liked. But he has created a show that has followers from 6 to 60. And I suspect that the bits of the show that offend my adult sensibilites would be the very bits that I would be recreating in the playground when I was 6 myself.
Russell has rehabilitated a show bring it back from geekdom (and I know, I was one of those geeks) to mainstream.
And for that he deserves our praise.
